Child Nutrition
The Child Nutrition Department prepares all food onsite at each of our 42 campuses and deliver meals to the two district academy sites to provide meals for approximately 34,000 students daily.
Edinburg Conlolidated Independent School District will continue to participate in the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2024 - 2025 school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced-price, and paid meals. This approach reduces the burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that all students receive a nutritious meal. Supper meals are offered in schools where educational enrichment programs are provided and requested by campus.
Breakfast in the classroom is provided at all elementary schools. Every student will have the opportunity to start his or her day with a great....BREAKFAST!
Remember, breakfast is the most important meal of the day!
The Child Nutrition Program is proud of our menu items, which provide nutritious and well-balance meals daily with the help of all campus Child Nutrition Staff, Warehouse Staff and Child Nutrition Department office staff, daily.
